Product Description

The component known as a Ball Screw Drive consists of the ball screw nut and the ball screw. This drive mechanism converts rotational motion into linear motion through the use of recirculating metal balls. The operation of a ball screw drive is similar to that of a ball bearing, where metal balls move along inclined internal or external raceways to reduce friction. The ball screw nut and the screw (threaded shaft) feature matching helical grooves or raceways that significantly reduce friction by the circulation of steel balls.
